Lingfield surgery cash free premises

CASH FREE PREMISES

 

 

As of 1st June 2026 Lingfield Surgery will be a cash-free premises. The practice is adopting this model to improve transaction speeds, streamline accounting, and reduce security risks.

 

Patients requesting any private non-NHS work such as insurance letters, medicals etc will be asked to pay for the work before it is started and the payment will need to be by card.

We hope that this will not cause issues for patients, but we have made this decision for:

 

·         Enhanced Security and Staff safety: Zero cash on site eliminates the risk of robberies.

 

·         Speed & Efficiency: Contactless and card payments are significantly quicker than counting change, reducing wait times.

 

·         Lower Administrative Costs and Staff safety: Staff spend less time making costly trips to the bank.
