Dr Fiona Allen retirement.

We are sad to inform all Lingfield patients that Dr Allen will be retiring from general practice at the end of October 2019.

Dr Allen has been an invaluable asset to the surgery for the last 22 years and her knowledge and experience will be greatly missed.

We wish her a long and happy retirement.

Dr Allen would like to thank all of her patients for their support during her time at Lingfield surgery.

Surgery Car Park and CCTV

Lingfield surgery car park has been resurfaced and the layout changed to protect our most vulnerable patients. There is now a pedestrian walkway so that patients can avoid walking across the car park and an additional disabled bay. There is also a drop and go bay for patients to use for 2 to 3 minutes to drop off relatives, prescriptions, letters etc. Patients are no longer permitted to park in the centre of the car park and if the marked bays are full patients should use Gun Pit Rd car park behind Boots Pharmacy which is free for 3 hours. You will be asked to move your vehicle if it is parked inappropriately. In the interests of safety and security for our patients and staff the car park area has CCTV surveillance in operation.

GP Earnings 2018

NHS England require that the net earnings of doctors engaged in the practice is published and the required disclosure is shown below. However, it should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earnings is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the practice and should not be used to form any judgement about GP earnings, nor to make any comparisons with any other practice.   All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g average pay) for GP's working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.   The average pay for GP's working in the Lingfield Surgery in the last financial year was £92,992 before Tax and National Insurance. This is for two full time GP's, three part time GP's and two locum GP's who worked in the practice for more than six months.

Wellbeing Advisor

We now have a Wellbeing Advisor here at the surgery every Tuesday and Wednesday. The advisor is here to advise on a wide number of social issues including bereavement, loneliness, debt, weight management and many other social problems. The advisor is here from 12.30 - 4.30pm and her appointments are 1 hour per patient. If you feel you need someone to talk to about a non medical issue that is troubling you please contact the surgery or speak to Reception and we will gladly book you an appointment with her.

Appointment reminders by text
