Objectives of the Friends
To provide increased and improved facilities and amenities for the benefit of the sick and infirm in the villages of Lingfield and Dormansland, Surrey, and the surrounding areas, beyond the services available out of public funds or from the National Health Service.
Achievements to Date
1997
A defibrillator unit and ECG machine.
1998
An hydraulic examination couch / chair and cushions for the District Nurses to lend to patients
1999
A state of the art 24 hour blood pressure monitor, which doctors will be able to lend to patients in their own homes and which will give a much more satisfactory result than a 'one-off' reading at the surgery.
2005
An ear irrigator for the Practice Nurses, consulting rooms examining lamps, waiting room chairs, hydraulic examination couch/chair for the District Nurses use.
In future years it is the Trustees' intention to identify similar projects and items of equipment which will be of direct benefit to patients in the area, and to raise funds for their purchase.
